Seamless regulatory alignment with automated workflows and certificate management
The MCC Group, owner of the iconic NOTSHY and absolut cashmere brands, is a benchmark in the design and production of luxury ready-to-wear cashmere. Known for its careful selection of materials and certified suppliers (including Good Cashmere Standard, RWS, GCS, and Oeko-Tex), the group has made sustainability and transparency central to its development strategy. To prepare for compliance with Article 13 of the AGEC Law, effective January 2024, MCC chose Trace For Good to digitalize and automate processes previously managed manually.
MCC’s goal was not only to meet AGEC compliance requirements but also to build a long-term, traceability system capable of supporting its CSR and eco-design objectives across both brands.
Automate the collection and verification of supplier certifications (Good Cashmere Standard, RWS, GCS, Oeko-Tex).
Centralize social audits (Amfori BSCI) and ensure document authenticity.
Provide consumers with transparent and verified information on product origins and certifications.

An intuitive interface, making it easier for both in-house teams and suppliers to use
End-to-end digitalization and automation of product traceability, eliminating manual processes
Centralized data management for all supplier, raw material, and certification information
Seamless integration with Wshop, enabling direct synchronization of traceability data with retail systems
Omnichannel transparency with traceability sheets accessible both online and in-store
QR code integration: each product features an individual QR code printed on its hangtag, allowing consumers to instantly access verified traceability information
Previously managed through manual updates and supplier follow-ups, MCC’s traceability process was fully automated with Trace For Good.
Key steps included:
This transition provided instant access to regulatory data and a comprehensive view of traceability and certifications, replacing the complexity of spreadsheets with a centralized, agile system.
Thanks to the integration between Trace For Good and Wshop (MCC’s e-commerce provider), traceability pages are directly accessible from NOTSHY and absolut cashmere’s online product pages. Additionally, QR codes printed on hangtags give in-store shoppers direct access to each product’s traceability details: including origin, certifications, and sustainability information. All certifications are collected and verified by the platform, eliminating manual document management and ensuring consistent validation and renewal tracking.
The partnership between MCC and Trace For Good is based on trust and co-development.
MCC’s feedback helped enhance the traceability communication module, leading to new, richer product pages for NOTSHY and absolut cashmere. Encouraged by these results, MCC now aims to further leverage Trace For Good’s certificate management features to support supplier education on certification processes: a key step toward strengthening eco-design practices.
